Today during our Workshop, Molly taught us all about the life cycle of maple trees and helped us understand how we collect sap. The Farm helps turn their tree sap into maple syrup. But how can the sap drip through the bark? We conducted a fun science experiment using tree cookies and hand soap to determine if sap could pass through! After rubbing hand soap on one side of the tree cookie, we blew air from the other side to see if sap could also find a way through... Check out our results!
