And we're off!

We hit the road at 12:15pm. Don't worry families... We didn't leave any of the kids with the cows (even though they all smell like a farm!). All 25 are safely on the bus back to New York!

This farmer is teaching the newborn calf, Woodstock, how to drink from a bucket

Newborn calfs instinctively know how to drink from a bottle, but they have trouble learning to slurp up milk from a bucket. This farmer dipped her fingers in the milk and let the calf suck on her fingers. Then, she slowly brought her fingers down into the bucket until the calf was both sucking her fingers and slurping up milk. Eventually she took away her fingers so the calf was just slurping up milk. This is how you teach a newborn calf to drink from a bucket!
